Lymphoma Awareness Month

Lymphoma picture

September is blood cancer awareness month. There are 137 types of blood cancer which can be separated into lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma – with Lymphoma being one of the most common cancers in UK (Bloodwise UK).

Lymphoma can affect anybody of any age and is almost always treatable once diagnosed. Symptoms depend on the type of Lymphoma – which can be Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin. Hodgkin Lymphoma patients have rare clonal malignant lacunar histiocytes know as Reed-Sternberg cells appear. These are large lymphocytes with more than one nucleus.

At Menarini we are proud to offer key antibodies which aid the identification of Lymphoma in patients by Immunohistochemistry analysis of Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded tissues. Including the following:

  • CD4 + CD8
  • Kappa (M) + Lambda (P)
  • CD3 [LN10]
  • CD4 [4B12]
  • CD5 (M)
  • CD10
  • CD30 (Ki-1)
  • CD8 [C8/144B]
  • SOX11 (M)

To read more about these take a look at our antibody fact sheet,, Accessed [September][2019]
