Key antibodies for the identification of Lung Cancer

November is Lung Cancer awareness month. Menarini Diagnostics are proud to offer key lung antibodies that may aid in the identification of their respective proteins by IHC in FFPE tissues.

There were 46,388 new cases of lung cancer in 2015. 10-15% of lung cancer cases are classified as small cell lung cancer (SCLC). The remaining cases are classified as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). There are different types of NSCLC, including squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. Five-year survival for lung cancer is highest in the youngest men and women and decreases with increasing age. Five-year net survival in men ranges from 42% in 15-39 year-olds to 6% in 80-99 year-olds for patients diagnosed with lung cancer in England during 2009-2013. In women, five-year survival ranges from 48% to 7% in the same age groups.
